Multi-year engagement on a national healthcare platform: large-scale integrations, migrations and modernisation of core systems. I lead the team, and spend as much time teaching people how to build systems well as building them.
- Led integration and modernisation across a large estate of services connecting the platform's core enterprise systems, guiding a cross-functional team through it.
- Ran architecture audits for clients that ended in concrete change proposals tied to business targets, not slide decks that die in a drawer.
- Facilitated event storming and domain discovery workshops that got business and engineering working from the same model.
- Designed an AI-native delivery process, built around AI from the start rather than bolted onto the old way of working, so a small team ships like a big one.

The move from building systems to designing them, with mentoring less experienced developers as part of the job, not a side task.
